When we recently lost our beautiful Siberian Husky girl of almost twelve years, we knew we would be searching for new family members to try  to fill the huge void that was left in our household and to provide companionship to her near thirteen year old Siberian Husky brother. We were impressed with some recent exposure to Goldendoodles and decided that two new Goldendoodle puppies would compliment our family dynamics very well. We decided on “Henry” and “Ty”. We picked them up from the airport and instantly fell in love with them. The first week with them was awesome, and our finicky Husky eventually softened up to them. However, we found ourselves too frequently checking on the unchosen brother, “Hershey.” Because our initial experience with the first two Goldendoodles was so uplifting and we were instantly drawn to all three of them, we decided we would fly “Hershey” home to reunite with his brothers and complete our family roster. We purchased Lanie aka Mocha to be a playmate for our other labradoodle, Lexie.

Although they are from very distant locales, the similarities would convenience one otherwise. They seem perfectly matched.

Lanie has been nearly perfect from day one. She slept on her ride home from the airport and then has slept throughout the night since. She does sleep between us in her sleepnumber bed without any qualms.

She has had only one peepee accident, likely because the neighbors lawnmower was a barrier to entry into the backyard. She doesn’t like loud noises.
